Nothing beats freshly baked bread and this recipe is so easy - it turns from this shaggy dough to this amazing dough ball!
What You Need
⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
4 cups all-purpose flour
2½ tsp salt
7g instant yeast (1 sachet)
425g warm water
30g extra virgin olive oil
Extra flour for dusting
Method
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and yeast.
Pour in the warm water and olive oil. Mix until a sticky, shaggy dough forms with no dry flour left.
Cover and let rest for 15 minutes.
Gently stretch and pull the dough over itself a few times. Turn the bowl and repeat until the dough starts to feel smoother.
Cover and repeat the stretch and pulls every 15 minutes for 1 hour.
After the final stretch and pull, cover and let the dough rest for another hour until puffy and airy.
Preheat oven to 220°C.
Generously flour your bench and gently tip the dough out. Try not to deflate it.
Shape into ciabatta loaves by gently stretching and cutting the dough into rectangles.
Place onto a lined baking tray, dust with flour, and bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden and crusty.
